Who is Noémie?

Noémie, 28, is typically the kind of people we all are envious of: dynamic, traveller, dreamer, creative. No surprise with the latter, since Noémie comes from a creative family. From mother to daughter, every generation shares with the next one its knowledge: painting, seaming, pasting, taking pictures, it looks like she’s able to imagine and create almost everything. Far from being egoist, she shares with us her ideas and realisations on a well-designed blog. Decoration tips, Do-it-Yourself, you’ll find everything you want if you’re looking for fresh inspiration to redecorate your home.

Believe it or not, but Noémie is still able to find time for her second passion: travelling. But even her various trips are inspiration sources for new decoration ideas. What does she do when she has free time? “I love learning so I’m always up for classes, conferences or trainings in the fields that interest me (interior design and digital communication). Also, I never miss my morning sport session 🙂 “

About her blog

When did you start blogging? I started blogging in 2014 but my current blog was born in October 2015.

Why did you decide to start this adventure? I’ve always loved writing. And I’ve also always loved interior design, decorating and DIY-ing. So it was time I mixed both passions and shared my creativity online 🙂

What are you writing and sharing about? Mostly DIYs (Do It Yourself) and tutorials for home decor objects/furniture, but also interior design ideas and tips, and I share my interior design projects that I do for clients. I also have a small “travel” section on my blog where I share some tips and good addresses from my travels and city trips.

Can you tell me more about your ideal reader? I wouldn’t say I have an ideal reader, because each reader reacts differently and that’s what makes a blogger’s community so special and unique. I love the ones that enthusiastically comment every single one of my articles, I love the ones that randomly discover your blog and are so thrilled that they send you a private message, I love the ones that send me photos of what they made after reading one of my tutorials, and I love the ones that silently but religiously follow my every online moves (I see you, thanks to Google Analytics ;) ).

Can you give us the name of some of the bloggers whom you look up to? Why do you follow them?  “I essentially follow bloggers on Instagram, because I love the creativity, the inspiration, and the proximity that comes from this social network.

For example, I admire Made by F for her simplicity and her entrepreneurship, I love EPPColine’s humour and maturity, and I admire You Make Fashion for her creativity and the business she made out of her blog.”

A last word…

If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Don’t try to copy what already exists : invent your own way of blogging and your own topics ! But most importantly : re-read what you write, there’s nothing more annoying than an article full of mistakes…

Many thanks, Noémie 🙂
